What is that green like sand paper that gets all over the branches. And the leaves keep dropping on my Japanese plum. It has pink flowers and then in fall little red berries.
I believe the “green like sand paper” that you’re referring to is lichen. It’s harmless. On the Japanese Plum, look up insect and diseases of Japanese Plum. You might find your answer there. Make sure it’s an .edu or .org site.
