Heterocampa umbrata, White-blotched Heterocampa

I came across this moth larvae while golfing. I had to stop playing golf for just a few minutes to take pictures. I’ve never seen this larvae before. It’s a woodland moth, they feed on the leaves of oak trees. The larvae change color as they mature. How fun!
